REFUND POLICY


Effective Date: March 26, 2026


This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which Rental Simplified Ltd. (“the Company”) issues refunds in relation to vehicle rental services.




1. GENERAL POLICY


Rental payments are non-refundable once the rental period has commenced, except where otherwise determined at the sole discretion of the Company.




2. SECURITY DEPOSIT (HOLD)


A refundable security hold of $200.00 is placed on the renter’s credit or debit card prior to vehicle release.


The hold may be used to cover:


  • Vehicle damage
  • Late return fees
  • Cleaning fees, including a $500 smoking fee
  • Fuel charges
  • Traffic fines or penalties
  • Loss of use
  • Administrative or recovery costs


Any unused portion will be released within 3 to 7 business days, subject to the customer’s financial institution.




3. CANCELLATIONS



Before Rental Start Date


  • Cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled rental start time are eligible for a full refund
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior may be subject to forfeiture at the Company’s discretion



After Rental Start Date


  • No refunds will be issued once the rental period has commenced




4. EARLY RETURNS


If a vehicle is returned before the agreed rental end date:


  • No refund will be issued for unused days
  • The full rental period remains payable




5. NO-SHOW POLICY


If a customer fails to collect the vehicle on the scheduled rental date without prior notice:


  • The booking may be cancelled
  • Any payments made may be forfeited




6. CHARGES & DEDUCTIONS


The Company reserves the right to deduct amounts from the security hold or charge the customer’s payment method for:


  • Vehicle damage
  • Cleaning fees, including a $500 smoking fee
  • Fuel discrepancies, pump cost plus 20 percent plus $35 fee
  • Late return fees, $10 per hour after the grace period
  • Loss of use
  • Administrative or recovery costs




7. PROCESSING OF REFUNDS


Approved refunds, if any, will be processed:


  • Using the original payment method where possible
  • Within a reasonable timeframe depending on the financial institution




8. EXCEPTIONS


Any exception to this Refund Policy must be approved by management and documented accordingly.
